Senior Cabinet Maker

Contract Type: Permanent
Reporting To: Production Manager
Working Hours: Full Time. Mon – Fri, 07h30 – 16h00
Salary range: £28,000 – £34,000
Location: Amersham, Buckinghamshire

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • – Assembling cabinet/wooden carcasses
  • – Follow production drawings from start to finish
  • – Fitting hardware, sanding & preparing for spraying
  • – Set up and use a variety of woodworking machines including spindle moulders and hand tools
  • – Provide general assistance and support where required in the manufacturing process
  • – Consistently carry out quality checks at every stage of manufacture and correct any problems
  • – Work on a wide range of items such as cabinets, tables, kitchens, bedrooms, boardroom furniture, reception desks, bars, panelled rooms, audio-visual units, studies etc
  • – Join installation teams on site when required
  • – Ensure company Health & Safety policies are adhered to
  • – Responsible for the upkeep and wearing of PPE
  • – Assist in keeping your work space clean & tidy
  • – Flexible approach to working hours to ensure deadline are met
  • – Available to occasionally work overtime (overtime rates paid)

Salary range: £26,000 – £32,000 (dependant on experience)

  • – Oversee the company Health & Safety – implement changes where required and update documentation and record keeping.

  • – Management of the company calendar – including company fleet, machine servicing and insurances
  • – Maintenance of office equipment and IT troubleshooting

Your overall responsibilities will include:

  • – Taking briefs and ideas from clients/designers and producing working drawings using Cabinet Vision and Auto CAD software.
  • – Working with approved drawings to create annotated production drawings.
  • – Liaising closely with the Project Managers and Production Manager.
  • – Working alongside the Production Manager and cabinet makers, provide ongoing support.
  • – Delivering the work in a timely manner and within budget.
  • – Supporting the Project Managers in every aspect of the project lifecycle.
  • – Assist with any ad hoc tasks as and when required.

Full training will be provided, but the right attitude is essential.
